Pulwama, Jan 25 (KNO): After six years, a hospital building in Awantipora area in Pulwama is lying defunct causing immense inconvenience to people. Locals from Hari Parigam Awantipora told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the PHC building in their area has been lying defunct for the last six years and the existing primary health facility is running out of rented accommodation. They said that the hospital building was completed years ago with huge amount of money spent on it but due to unknown reasons it has been abandoned. In absence of its use, windows, doors besides washroom, electric wiring and other things have suffered damage but none is showing any concern, said Mukhtar Ahmad, a local. He said that the building is now used by drug addicts causing inconvenience to people. An official said that the PHC will start functioning from the new buildings after the executing agency will complete the minor pending work there—(KNO)
